Dekko Ash Parquet Tile – Unfinished
A solid wood floor is a fantastic and practical floor covering popular since the 1600’s. They are naturally hard wearing and often many old buildings still have their original wood flooring. Of course, they will be full of signs of use over many years, but many consider this to be a floor that is then rich character and history. Today, many new floors are already distressed to offer an instant lived in appearance.
Our unfinished solid parquet flooring tile in Dekko Ash square is a fantastic traditional character grade floor. While similar to oak in its hardwearing characteristics, it offers a more rustic look. The lighter colouring is excellent for applying stains, making it easier to achieve the desired colouring during finishing. The unfinished ash fingers are selected for their reclaimed and rustic appearance, which complements the traditional parquet tile flooring design.
Each mosaic parquet tile is constructed from solid ash fingers joined by a mesh netting to make installation considerably easier and faster. The individual tiles are 320mm x 320mm x 8mm, with 2 parquet tiles on each mesh. We recommend gluing this flooring to the sub-floor.
This floor is rustic grade ash which will provide a wide range of vibrant natural colours. Expect to see a bigger range of colour, splits, knots, pin-holes and more. We recommend purchasing 10% waste for all herringbone floors and an extra 5%, in you have concerns about any boards which may be too rustic for your installation.
As this is an unfinished parquet floor. It will require finishing after installation. We offer a range of high-quality wood flooring oils and lacquers to complete this floor.
